In the years since Mille-feuille opened for business, our expertise has consistently continued to grow. This expertise started with Olivier Dessyn – owner and executive pastry Chef – who trained and worked at high-end maisons including the Ritz and Hermé in Paris.
Savor our patisseries free of mind: they're made from our finest and constantly improved recipes and with only the best ingredients: organic domestic flours, award-winning rBST-free Vermont butter, premium French chocolate, no additives and no preservatives anywhere in sight! So no matter what you choose at Mille-feuille, not only will it look beautiful, but it will also be the most tasty and healthy as possible, because we care. Our pastries are as traditionally French as they can get, with no extra sugar or any artificial ingredients added to the recipes. If you close your eyes while enjoying one of our pastries, your taste buds will take you on a trip to Paris. This savoir-faire relies on precise ingredients, extensive training, and of course exquisite, authentic French recipes. Our team of pastry chefs learned how to perfect the recipes under Chef Olivier D.’s close monitoring.
After 18 months of baking all of our delicious products at our flagship store at 552 Laguardia Place, it began getting cramped and crowded due to growing production and wholesale orders. We soon realized that we needed to expand in order to meet our customers’ growing demands. Our Mille-feuille staff made the move to Williamsburg's Pfizer building. We were able to learn and grow alongside a number of other wonderful food establishments. Now, our Pfizer community is proudly part of the epicenter of Brooklyn’s food production. Overlooking the Manhattan skyline, our pastry chefs have arguably the best view anyone could hope for. Our pastries are baked 20 hours a day by our team of ten bakers, making it possible for us to have our deliveries ready bright and early for each of our stores and for our wholesale customers.
Lastly, with Olivier’s previous career in IT, our locations and the kitchen are able to communicate smoothly and efficiently by always staying up to date with the latest technology. Because of this, you can always trust that your orders will be both delicious and ready when you need them to be.
As a result we taste better than anything else in New York City.
